Patron Points FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Patron Points?

A: Patron Points is a program that rewards you for purchases you make at Cedar Country convenience stores. The more you use our products and services, the more you earn. It is easy to use, saves you money, and its downright fun!

Q: What is the value of a Patron Point to me?

A: Depending on which item you select from our redemption list, the value could be anywhere from 2.5 to 1.5 cents per dollar spent. If you purchase gas for $3.00/gal at one of our stores, for instance, you saved 4.5 to 7.5 cents per gallon.

Q: Which stores are participating?

A: All the stores under the Cedar Country Co-op umbrella: Menomonie Tire & Auto Repair, Cenex Convenience Stores in Menomonie, Colfax and Boyceville, Exit 45 Restaurant and Bakery.

Q: How do I participate?

A: Just ask for a Patron Points card at any of our participating stores. One of our associates will give you a card, activate it, and show you what to do. Basically, all you have to do is present the card when you make a purchase – we will do the rest.

Q: As a co-op member, do I still share in the co-op’s profits in the form of cash and stock?

A: Yes. Now it will be easier than ever for you to accumulate patronage – it will all be done through your Patron Points! No more saving receipts or sliding your patronage card. You now have more ways than ever to save at your co-op!

Q: How do I receive my Patron Points?

A: Each time you make a purchase in one of our stores, present your Patron Points card to be swiped. Your points (1 for each dollar spent) will be instantly recorded. The cashier will present you with a slip showing your balance. If you are a business customer, with a Cedar Country Co-op local charge account, you do not swipe your card – we record your points for you at the beginning of the next month.

Q: How do I redeem my Patron Points?

A: Simply bring the item to the counter, or order it off the menu, etc and present your card for payment. The cashier will swipe your card and subtract the points for the item.

Q: How do I get additional cards and/or replacements?

A: Simply ask the cashier at any of our stores for another card. The additional card will not have the same number. The cashier will have to call into the Patron Points office to make sure that the card numbers are combined. This is the only way that we can be sure that points are combined for patronage. If you are not a member and do not care about patronage at the end of the year, each person can have a different card number and have their own points.

Q: Do I have to be a co-op member to use Patron Points?

A: Absolutely not. Anyone can share in the rewards.

Q: I am a co-op member and I did not receive my Patron Points card in the mail. How do I get my card?

A: We are not planning to send any more cards in the mail. Simply come into one of our stores after May 17th and the cashier will give you a card to get started. Your co-op patronage will be tracked from this point onward. If you have been saving receipts for this year up to this point, turn them in at the end of this year – again, only up to the date you received your card. This transition year will be the only year you will have to do so.

Q: Can I still use my old patronage card or Cenex card to track my patronage?

A: No, the only way we will track patronage in the future is through our own local charge or swiping the Patron Points card.
